MONOGRAM people:
VIC PRATT from Hounslow, West London, writes, sings and plays the guitar.
STEPHEN McCONNACHIE from Wishaw, Scotland, writes, sings and plays the guitar.
CORINNA REICHER from Vienna, Austria, sings and plays the cello.

Vic, Stephen and Corinna met while they were working at the National Film Archive. They are all film archivists, and, when they're not playing music, they're busy searching for old, rare, forgotten movies.

MONOGRAM history:
MONOGRAM first performed live at The Drill Hall, London in October 2004 as part of the Irregular Records English Chanson season. Well received at small venues around London, they have now completed their first album for the Irregular Records subsidiary label for new bands, Unlabelled. Naming their album after a popular coin-operated movie machine of the Edwardian era, the melancholy Monogram sound is deeply rooted in a world of faded seaside towns and suburban eccentricity.

MONOGRAM sound:
"Subtle and intriguing chansonniers influenced by melancholy, music hall and Norman Wisdom" - Time Out

Making new music in the tradition of English folk-influenced performers such as Fairport Convention and Nick Drake, MONOGRAM can be best described as a modern chamber folk music hall art pop ensemble.
